On 19th October 2010, on the feast of our founder St. Paul of the Cross, the Passionist community in Our Lady of Velankanny Church, Palliport officially installed Passionist Lay Movement. The Passionist community is proud and happy that this is the first successful venture to form a Passionist Lay Movement in India . The PLM is officially guided by Fr. Paul Cherukoduth CP, the director of the minor seminary, Cochin , along with the local community at Palliport. The PLM consists of 29 members. The members of the PLM are men and women who are deeply rooted in the gospel and wish to live the Passionist Charism in the world. Committing themselves to grow in the exercise of keeping alive the memory of the passion, they bring more life and vitality to the Passionist Charism in India.
As it is still in its formative stage, the PLM is yet to be given a proper structure and leadership. It is heartening to note that more people are coming forward to join the PLM.
