The Mission Parish of Randham Korattur, is a remote and backward village in Arni, North Arcot District and Vellore Diocese in Tamil Nadu State India. It was established on July 24th 1996 and handed over to the Passionist Religious Congregation. The Mission Parish has got eleven sub-stations scattered in 15-20 K.M. radius. The people of the village are very poor, illiterate ignorant and economically poor, working day in and day out for their survival and existence. They live a life of hand to mouth existence and earning a very poor and meager income sufficient to satisfy only their half stomach. They are landless agricultural laborers earningtheir daily bread by working as coolies in the agricultural fields.
The Church of Our Lady of Velankanny, Randham Korattur was constituted into a New Parish with effect from Wednesday, 24th July 1996. The sub-stations are Sennatur-Ladawaram, Vellambi, Chengnawaram, Pariamangalam, Ladapadi, Kalavai-Agaram, Panaiyur, Mamandoor, Ayiramangalam, Nethapakam, Pallavarayankulam.
450 families and about 1400 parishnors.
5 Mission Stations with Chapel, once a week Holy Mass in each Sub-stations.
6 Mission Stations without Chapel, once in a month Holy Mass is celebrated.
12 Basic Christian Communities, which has got gathering once a week.
